It may not be from your alternator- I had the same prob when I installed my
new Blaupunkt system this spring. The whine came from improperly insulated
sparkplug wires. I switched my OEM wires for a set of Jacobs Energy Core
Sparkplug wires, and the noise vanished. You can contact Jacobs @
