Chad,
Try spraying some tire cleaner on a rag and wipe the trim with it. It worked
for my trim. Right after that I rubbed in some of the Meguire's rubber/trim
treatment (though other trim treatments should work just as well). This
appeared to have created an impenetrable surface and no white wax residue has
ever blemished my trim since ! :) I put some of the trim treatment on the trim
every once in a while which cleans the superficial dirt and makes it nice and
shiny again. Sometimes when the trim gets really dirty, Meguire's stuff doesn't
really clean it, so I use Black Magic. It seems to clean a bit better that
Meguire's. I trust in Meguire's protective abilities more though so that's what
I use most often.
