I searched for "government automobile recall notices" using Infoseek
(http://www.infoseek.com) and found the following sites:

   http://www.notice.com/recalls.html
More than just auto recalls. Links to the following sites.

   http://www.dot.gov/affairs/recalls.htm
      NHTSA's "official" listing.

   http://www.alldata.tsb.com/
List recall notices and technical service bulletins by model
year and make and model. You only get a one-liner description.

   http://www.autosite.com/library/nhtsa/recalls/reclmenu.htm
Better presentation/organization of the information from
      NHTSA's list.
