Hi Chris,
i used to live in maryland, so i know exactly what you're going thru.
is your blower working? mine was stuck at the low speed. make sure
you have all 3 speeds.
check your water valve. mine wouldn't open all the way = less heat.
the water valve is on the passenger side, under the hood, next to the
blower (near the little hook that keeps the hood down).
check your thermostat. does your car run cold? it'll make less heat
if that's the case. if your thermometer is running less than halfway
to red, then maybe you can benefit from a hotter thermostat.
i also wired a switch into the a/c system to cut out the compressor.
i installed it in place of the fake green switch in the dash. this
way, i can get some hot air blowing into my right hand when i'm
shifting.
if everything is right, you should get sufficient heat out of a 2002
for some pretty cold weather.
