Hi all.
Well, I did it. I now have an '87 528e.
There was no owner's manual, and I have no idea how to use the OBC. My
car is from 2/87, by the way.
I read through Jim C.'s info in the FAQ, and my version is "5 .8TYP" or
something like that. I couldn't get the test codes to work. Can this
be done with a pre-3/87 OBC?
Nonetheless, I was able to set the time (there's a recessed button to
do that), but I couldn't set the date (is it DD/MM instead of MM/DD - I
haven't tried that - I just thought of it driving in this a.m. with my
'83). I really have no clues how this thing works. And while I *can*
think in kilometers, how do you switch back and forth? How accurate is
the Range indicator?
Until I can obtain a manual, can anyone FAX me the relevant pages from
their '87 manual? Or better yet, has anyone typed it in? 8^)
Thanks very much, and Happy Holidays!
.steve.
