On the note of 4WD's. Some of you might think that I was going insane for
doing this but it was a lot fun. On saturday night a friend of mine was joy
riding in this 15 passenger chevy van and unfortunately they got stuck in the
woods trying to go up a hill. Well sunday morning came by and he had gotten
some other buddies of his to try and pull the van out because he could not
reverse since the back of the van was backed up to a big tree. His only
solution was to get some one to pull him forward up the hill. Well, the Nissan
SE V6 could not do it, a GEO tracker which was the first truck to attempt the
the pull was unsuccessful with all four tires spinning and digging a hole for
himself. At about 4:30pm sunday he called and said "well do you want to try
your car?" I said sure let's put this bimmer(325IX) to a test. We went into
the woods going through heavy puddles of water and then to the van. Hooked the
chain both trucks had used and then when he gave me the sign, up we went.
After, he told me that I had total control of that van. He said I was pulling
the van with no hustle. His tires were still spinning even when he tried to
help by accelerating too. Well the two guys with the tracker and the SE V6
still don't believe it. I wish I had a camcorder then. Hope you guys find
this interesting.
Does BMW make any IX's in the 5-Series?
