Tyre ratings

Hi Team,
Can't imagine why, but curiosity has reached fever pitch in our office
this morning regarding the rating of tyres. Basically, we want to know
what the following means:- Treadwear 180, Traction A and Temperature A.
Does a treadwear 200 last longer than a 180 and if so, by how much?
Do I need to buy tyre warmers this winter?!!!
Hopefully there's someone out there who's familiar with tyre technics.
