Ok,
I've decided to replace the guibo in my SO's '78 530i after seeing the
crack in it and seeing all the discussion here on this list.
Now, the 64k question is, how? Can anyone give me some pointers
based on their experiences? The manual is kinda vague, like "take the
old one out, put the new one in." Is it that simple? Do I need to take
the driveline apart other than at the guibo itself?
Also, does anyone here have an opinion on the shop by the name of
Shatz and Krumm, here in Sacramento? A girl I used to know took her
530i there and swore by them, but she wouldn't go out with me so I'd have
to question her judgement :)
Thanks again!
Thom
