Winter is upon us (530iT)

seeking net wisdom on winter tire choice for our new 530iT.

We expect another hard winter in the NE. Our Jeep is now gone. The 530iT
will have to do... I was thinking of mounting four Blizak tires (205x65x15)
on steel rims (Rghhhh .. just for the winter). The other possibility are
the 210P Pirelli or Nokia (Hakkapeliitta) but these come in 196x65 R15

What is the thinking on this topic. Should I spring for Alloy rims?
Tire Rack sells ACT alloys for $129/each. Black steel rims are not 
a "BMW class" I know but... winter salt is not kind to forged wheels
