Sorry for the added message, but I got caught up in the intent of the first.
NEVER PUT POISON IN FOOD CONTAINERS!!!
Sorry to yell, but this is one lesson I learned the hard way.
I always used clear COKE bottles as well, until my 5 year old took a sip when
no one was watching. "Gee, it's just my Dad's drink, he won't mind."
Fortunately, it tasted so bad she didn't get much in her and she had the good
sense to tell us what she had done. Fortunately, no damage was done, this time
. . . She won't get another chance.
Also discovered that Syrup of Ipecac takes longer than I thought, but it *will*
induce vomiting. Standard equipment in our medicine cabinet.

Subject: BMW club recommendations
Hi.
Wow, this digest thing has really cut down on traffic. I hope
that works to our lists' advantage. I suspect it will.
Someone asked which is the best club to join. Well, I may be a bit
biased, but I just looked at the Zundfolge publication of the ACA. It
looked a lot more like a local CCA chapter's publication than a
national club magazine. It was reasonably well-written, but wasn't
as extensive as the CCA publication, IMHO.
Frankly, if I lived in the Left Coast of the USA, it might be
worthwhile, but as long as I live in the northeast, I think I'll
stick with the BMW CCA.
By the way, if the Thomas B. Nast is the same one that we see on the
bmw list, great article, Tom! (Oct. 94). And I think I've fallen
madly in love with Yolanda Surer-Egger... Ahhhhhhh...... 8^)

I had the same problem with a 83 323 E30, although I believe my problem is
electrical. When I drive in 2 -5 gear and depress the gas pedal more than just
average acceleration I get the same symtoms described, a choke feeling where the
engine seems to be missing. What I did to fix the problem before was to make
sure the connections in the computer, airflow meter, plug wires were all secure.
Once, I was sure it was the connection to the computer.

Subject: Hella Vision Euro headlamp conversion
I just installed Hella Vision Euro headlamps on my
'85 325e. I decided to begin conservatively and
stick with the supplied 55/60W low/high beam H4 bulbs
and the 55W H1 high beam bulbs.
Activation of the high beams blew both 7.5 Amp high-beam
fuses (the #1 and #2 fuses)...which prompted me to consult
the Power=Voltage X Current relationship. With high beams
on, 55W + 60W = 115W = (12.5V) X (current), which tells
me I need about a 10 Amp fuse for each high beam bank.
Installation of two 10 Amp fuses seems to allow worry-free
high beam illumination.
My main question is: if I get wild now and install the
optional 55W/100W H4's and 100W H1's, will the stock
headlamp relays handle the current? I'd put 20 Amp
fuses into the #1 and #2 slots. Anyone tried this
with success?
Thanks...

Hi,
Does anyone know who has the best price on the CD changers. I prefer pioneer
since they match my home CD player.
Thanks.

Subject: Cheap Recaros
hi
Does anyone know of a dealer or shop that sells the Recaro executive
chair cheap? I have already tried PAR seating specialists. When I mean
cheap, I mean about $900 or less.
Please mail your response to [email protected]
thanks.

Much like many of you, I am going through mailing list withdrawal. And,
like everyone else, I appreciate all that Richard has done for us. I hope
that being in digest mode is a short term situation. If not, maybe we
can come up with an alternate site to host the list.
In the meantime, anyone know of a parser that can "un-digest" the digest
mail on the receiving end so it ends up looking like the individual
messages that really exist? If not, I see a small software project in
my future...
Thanks

Can the stock plastic reservoir stand that much pressure? Or does that
have to be changed too. Also, does this work with ABS? Thanks.
