[bmw] Bangle out??

I went to the local BMW dealer this morning to try out an E46 M3
(subject of another post) and the salesman said that Chris Bangle had
been "kicked upstairs" about 3 weeks ago. Anyone heard this too, or
could it be wishful thinking? He also confirmed what many know--that
many potential customers are turned off by the new designs, that people
ask if they can get the new 7-Series without iDrive, that when the new
3-series arrives the sales people will be dreading trying to sell the
new cars in three different sizes--"small, medium, and large". Certainly
in the view of many, there may have been reason to kick Bangle upstairs
to an office job and turn Design over to someone else.
