RE: [bmw] Paint Ripples
I have a couple of "those" on my 2002 330i also. I have actually taken the next step though, I mentioned them to my wife and she looked at me like I am nuts, shook her head and walked away. I think that they are slight indentations in the sheetmetal, but only I can see them or care about them so I just don't say anything, I suffer in silence. Maybe we could start a therapy session where we sit around and commiserate with each other about our sheetmetal depression(s). ;-)

Subject: [bmw] Paint Ripples
Hi everyone. I was recently waxing my 2003 325i and noticed a couple of small
"ripples" on the surface of the hood along the line that runs vertically down
the hood (drivers side) that can only really be seen from certain angles and
light. I at first thought they were small indentations or what have you in the
metal until I opened the hood and inspected the other side and did not notice
the same (although I'm not 100% certain). I'm wondering now if perhaps it's
some kind of effect of the painting process. I'm not saying it's a problem
necessarily because it's so minor I'm even afraid to point it out to anyone
else for fear of being laughed at, I'm really just curious what you all think.
Is this a common phenomenon? Thanks in advance for any comments.
