[bmw] Winter tires and wheels

Greetings from a newcomer to the digest and a BMW rookie who knows nothing
about tires so bear with me. Here's my question: Just took delivery on a set
of Bridgestone Blizzak WS50 winter tires with 16 inch Mille Miglia wheels from
tirerack.com. Look nice and can't wait to put them on. However, yesterday I
rolled one up the car to see how it might look. The tire/wheel combo stands
maybe 2 inches taller than the stock wheel/tire! I have the standard (non
sport) 225/55 16 inch Michelins on the car now. The Blizzaks are 215/60 16.
Will these really fit? Will the difference in size affect my speedo reading
(the tirerack guy assured me they wouldn't but I really have to wonder)? Did I
make a mistake in ordering this size tire/wheel? Thanks in advance for any
insight you might have.
