[bmw] 97' E36 Radio Backlight
I removed the radio, PN 65 12-8 364 944, to see if I could fix the
malfunctioning backlight. To my surprize, the security code and
serial number was on a sticker on top of the radio. Isn't this
like writing your PIN number on your Debit Card?
It appears that all of the buttons are lit by LED's. I assume
the LCD is also lit the same way. It could also be by bulbs or
a fluorescent panel. I don't have the time right now to tear it
that far apart so I'm content to operate it in the blind for now.
Does anyone know how this model is lit? If it's LEDs or bulbs
I can probably repair it. I'd like to know before I go to the trouble
to disassemble it. It's model C33 DIN US.
