The latch on the bonnet (hood) should adjust. It may also be very worn. The
catch on the bulkhead fire wall is not really adjustable. When these latches
are adjusted right you should not have tp pull to hard on the release handle
to open the hood. This has known to come off in ones hands if you have to
pull to hard. Also the hood is shimmed where it bolts on.
