[alfa] V6 Engine Swaps - Another Idea...

Speaking of potential recipients for an Alfa V6, there's currently a kit car on eBay that would be a appropriate choice.

It's a FiberFab Aztec 7, that was modeled pretty dang closely after the Bertone Carabo concept car - which was, surprise surprise, an Alfa powered concept (IIRC, the 33 Stradale V8 motivated this wedge).

Yikes.. that brings back memories.. I had an itch to build a kit car, while watching the VW modification scene in So Cal, back in the late 70's.. Got into Alfas, never did build a car..

I did have a "concept" worked out, that very same Aztech 7, which I thought looked better than most out there, as well as having the Alfa design connection. I was picturing a Karman Ghia front end ( front disks rather than Bug drums) and using a 914 transaxle for mid engine as well as 5spd and disk rears.. Used to be a place called Kennedy Engineering (?) out in LA, that would make engine adapters for ANYTHING to a VW transaxle (they even had one for a 427!!!) and would make others to others.

Figured a light weight, hot 2L Alfa motor would be great in a 1800lb car like that..

Ah well, sounded good on paper!
