[alfa] Re: Mixing Cams

    Stefano,
I've been told that this has been a common practice among money
challenged Alfa racers and hot rodders for decades.
I run a 1600 race cam on the Intake and a milder Pittatore for the
Ex on my Spica'd 2 ltr.
On my autocrosser and back-up "daily driver", I appreciate the
low-end and drivability that it brings to the mix.

Related - It seems easier to find detonation. Something to avoid but
there seems to be a good deal of power - right at the edge. I suggest
setting the intake cam for a desired power band ( i use 102) and
adjusting the ex cam to seek out the edge of detonation.
Of course, i know so little.... there must be a down side to this or
more people would do it? right?
    Anyone care to educate me?

Norm

     Hey cats,

Anyone ever mixed cams on a 2L? Like something close
to an 11mm intake but something less for the exhaust?

Curious to hear trade offs. High end / low end / emissions /
     cost.
