[alfa] Re: alfa-digest V9 #971 - Duetto Differential

Could be either, depending on the design of the drain and fill plugs.
Some drain plugs have a taper and require no gasket. Those tend to be a
simple plug with no lip.
If your plug has a lip that presses against the housing, then it needs
a gasket. I have seen various plugs in various locations and I am not sure
what the Duetto came with originally. The plugs in the transmission will
interchange with those on the rear end. Or they will on the Bosch spiders.
In general, the fill plugs on both the differential and the rear end
of the later spiders require a 12 mm Allen wrench. The drain plugs on both
take a 17 or 19 mm socket. Only the fill plug requires a gasket. Again, it has
been a while since I messed with a Duetto.
