Way back in 1975 when I bought my first Alfa, a ' 73 GTV, it was recomended
that I run it on Shell Rotella, and I did. It seems to me that the Rotella had
a letter following the name to quantify it as a specific blend, but I can't
remember what that letter was. "M" comes to mind but so do about five other
letters!
I do remember specifically that it was an oil blended for diesels.
