[alfa] Has any one installed a Ignition Switch Crank Position Bypass Switch?

It seems that a week ago my car would not crank with the switch in the
start position but all of the electrical systems that power the run
position where fine (lights, fuel pump etc).  I hit the side of the
steering wheel and then switch worked fine. It has continued to work
without a problem since  then.  I was thinking of wiring a push button
switch in parallel with the crank position until I  have confidence that
it was either a loose connection or dirt in the contact.

Has any one installed a Ignition Switch Crank Position Bypass Switch?
My car came with the fuel pump solenoid bypass switch.
