Re: [alfa] 74 Spider VIN Question

Thanks for the info Richard.

This "74" I'm looking at also has an Iniezione badge on the back, was that a model available in 74? Is that what the "1750" motor cars came with?

Thanks again.

My 72 is AR3040454 and I would think the 3043518 would be 73 or one sold as
an early 74. Alfa did that with unsold production I think. Another way to
tell might be the front bumper mounts. It was about 1974 that US federal
regulations required bumper changes. A 74 bumper will NOT fit a 72 which did
not have any bracing between the two half bumpers in front, and probably not
a 73 either. Older bumpers attached individually to the frame boss on each
side. A 74 bumper is pictured here where the owner misreported that it would
fit older cars.

Maybe "Mralxrose" will run your vin through carfax for you. Good luck Tom!
