[alfa] Alfetta GT Dash
Excuse me again, but "having the speedo offset" is NOT "simply an
afterthought." It's the way that dash boards were laid out in the classic age
of motoring, so that the pilot could concentrate on the critical engine
performance data, and the co-pilot/navigator could see the speedometer for
time/speed/distance calculations.
As anyone who read auto mags in 1975 will recall, the decision to use the
offset speedo was a conscious reference to the glories of dashboards past, and
perhaps a subtle dig at the 55 mph limit of the day.
