I have a friend, no really, who bought a pig in a poke used 164S (maybe) 
engine.  upon installation, it fogged up the whole neighborhood w/ white 
steam.  ran for some time, and the steam got worse, never abated and seemed 
to be only steam.  started to pull the engine and discovered that the head 
bolt nuts were little more than finger tight.  pulled the heads, and liners 
on 6 & 4 came right out w/ the head.   btw, evidence of a recent rebuild on 
these cylinder heads.  reinstalled everything above the crank.  regasketed, 
checked/adjusted valve clearances to dead on.  reinstalled.  ran for a 
while still steaming (until all the moisture in the exhaust  burned off). 
then started to smoke blue - then huge fogging of oil smoke.  pulled valve 
covers - top of front head full of oil, plug wells completely filled. lots 
oil in cylinders.   he's pulled the engine again to look for 
problem(s).  any suggestions where to look?
