Yours does have an infrared alarm remote but not 91-93.

I'd say 15-20 feet is a better range on the radio frequency remote, I can't tell you how to fix yours tho. If I have a chance, I'll check the Car Disk and see if there is a trouble shooting routine. Have you checked the 164 FAQ? It's hosted on digest.net. /alfa/FAQ/164/ Thanks Richard.
