idle in a race car is irrelevant. how it would affect shifting is more
interesting, but again, it's a race car and priorities are different from a
street car.

definitely not. production derived cars in the SCCA must be able to start
themselves.

but how much of that is street-car-necessary vs. race-car-necessary? i can
take vibration in a race car, as long as the vibration isn't tearing things
up. i'm even thinking about solid motor mounts (motor mounts are
unrestricted in Production, so long as the engine stays pretty close to its
stock location.)
