Milano A/C
The A/C on my Verde is currently caput. The compressor is seized. As far as I
know from the p/o, there is still Freon in the system from way back and it
doesn't leak. I have a working compressor supplied with the car when I bought
it, just not installed.
So, the decision is to remove the A/C completely, saving power and weight, fix
the A/C and reuse the Freon (R-12) in there, or fix the A/C, recover (and
hopefully sell) the Freon and replace with an alternate refigerant.
It's still pretty cool here in Chicago so I don't miss it. Come July and
August when the heat and humidity kick in, I'll probably enjoy having it. On
the other side, the previous owners and I have put a lot into the car to make
it fast. High performance and A/C don't seem to go together.
Looking for opinions and experiences.

P.S. I can see a small Paxton blower bolting up where the compressor is now,
and would plumb in very easily. Not seriously contemplating this, just a
random thought.
