RE: Unknown spider object
The idea is that the free end of the seat belt is hooked onto this little
plastic doodad. This serves two purposes ...1) it keeps the seat belt from
getting caught in the door or seat and 2) it keeps it readily accessible.
(ok, that's three but whose counting?)
Of course, there is nothing passive in this system and it requires some
interaction on the part of the occupants.
That's my theory, anyone else have any other ideas?

Jeff

Subject: Unknown spider object
This is nothing earth shattering and could qualify as trivia but... I came
across a small part in my '74 Spider that I have no idea what it does, if
anything. It is a small lever like plastic piece that sits at the rear of
the door sill underneath the shiny metal sill plate. Please enlighten me.
