Milano Clarion Radio Problems

Hi,

I have just recently tried to play a tape in my Factory Clarion radio unsuccessfully, is there a trick to get it into tape mode? It just rewinds, fastforwards, refuses to play!! The only buttons on the radio are >> , <<, and one thats <> , I feel like an idiot
