re: alternator

Thanks to everyone who answered by question about alternators.  I    took it off last night and took it back to the shop for bench testing.  It still put out 13.6 volts but only 40 amps.  $65 later and a new voltage regulator and it is now putting out 70 amps as required.  I'll put it back on the car tomorrow.
