SSS question

Okay, not too earth shaking. I'm sure everyone is familiar with the (I
assume) one-off 1959 Pinin Farina Spider Super Sport?

Photos of it have appeared in several books including Giancenzo Madaro's
'Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider' (page 16).

It's obviously the precursor / show version of the Duetto. It's a
convertible (although no hint of where the top would be stored) and has
dual headrests which go almost all the way to the rear edge of the trunk
lid - sort of an Osso di Seppia with breasts. For some strange reason
I've had (vintage) teenage lust for this car ever since I first saw a
picture of her.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to my question (show cars don't have
to be functional) but anyone have a clue how one would open the trunk
lid? There are definite lines which make it appear as if there is a
functional trunk lid.

Even though I feel the Duetto / Round-Tail has (nonfunctional)
attractive rear bumpers, the SSS also has a lovely bumperless round
behind.

Does the car still exist?
