ATF in manuals

While SOME transmissions can use ATF's as a lube, please don't try this in 
your Alfa.  Unless (like mentioned for the 164) it is acceptable.

The synchro's in the boxes from the Giuliettas up to the Milanos will not 
like the ATF...

Like engines, always use what the manufacturer recommends.  All mechanical 
devices are designed for specific lubricant properties...
