Stupid Milano Tricks

Hey, boys and girls -

Rico the Milano has been doing something a tad bizarre lately - besides
his usual set of weirdities, that is. When he's all cold inside (this is
SoCal "cold" we're talking about, say 50 degrees or so) and I go to
raise or lower the back windows, the radio shuts off. If I push either
window button, the sound cuts off; if I hold it longer, the display goes
dark, then the light behind the volume knob goes out. Releasing the
button makes everything come right back on. When these symptoms first
appeared, it was only when a window was stalled (that is, it was fully
closed but the button was still depressed) that the sound went off, but
now it's any time the button is pushed.

As these symptoms go away as soon as the cabin is warm, I have to assume
that it all has to do with condensation and electricity leaking from
circuit to circuit. I also am well aware that the window controlling
wires in the console run forward, and probably mingle shamelessly (the
sluts!) with that wad of wiring I had to monkey with to hook up the
radio, so it's probably All My Fault, and anyhow the car is not going to
catch fire and burn to the ground because of any of this so wotthehell,
said Mehitabel. And besides, Summer is coming. Just wanted to know if
this was a phenomenon that has been observed elsewhere, and were you
able to address it without a lot of dreary wire-by-wire searching with
that VO meter thingy?
