Transmission Oil
About two or three years ago I read where a chemical engineer did some
research and found that Chrysler has an oil that meets all the old Alfa specs
and they use it for their Jeep transmissions.
The Chrysler part number: 04897622AA
I put it in my Duetto transmission 40K miles ago and it is still working
fine.
No financial connection, etc.

Subject: Recommendation for Alfa 115's Manual Transmission non-hypoid Gear
oil
I am looking for an non-hypoid manual transmission oil for a 1989 Spider
Veloce. I believe Alfa Romeo recommends Gl-4. It appears U.S. oil
manufactures add to many friction modifiers that doesn't give the Alfa Romeo
syncros enough "bite".
Does anyone have a winner recommendation?
