I'm happy with the Mustang turbines on my '72 Spider. The hub clearance
hole has to be opened up to clear the flange on 105 rear hubs, or you can
do as I did and use generic spacers to move the wheel out 1/4". I'm
running 205/55 15" Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s with about 6 or 7 track days and
14,000 street miles on them, and remain completely satisfied since I
learned they like about 5 psi. less pressure than anything else I've run,
even on the track. They even remain excellent in Portland rains.
We did have to roll the fender lips which would not have been necessary if
I'd machined the wheels instead of using the spacers, but time and
resources were short when I had to change.
I've heard they are heavier than other wheels, but the price was much
lighter, and the compromise has been worth it.
Cheers,
Joe
