milano tranny mount Q
digesters,
i was just perusing the IAP website, looking at
trannmission mounts (milano gold, manual). the photo
of the front tranny mount shows 2 holes which look
like they bolt to the crossmember (which the dedion
tube attaches to). on my milano, the tranny mounts
look like a block of rubber bolted to the T/A which
slip fits in to two verticle metal tabs on the
crossmember. does this mean that what was formerly a
1-part mount has become 2, and i didn't realize? or is
this a new style mount? when looking at my mounts, i
assumed they employed a pre-compressed setup to keep
the T/A in place ( i can definitely imagine scenarios
in which this would be a reasonable thing to do) but
now that seems rather far-fetched...
on the verge of delivering myself a "dope-slap",
