Alfa Romeo Model Kits For Sale

I am in need of a new aquarium and I have decided to liquidate my collection
of Alfa Kits to fund the new tank.  It looked really ugly for a while and I
thought I would be disposing of my complete Alfa Romeo model collection but
fortunately we were able to relocate the display cabinet to the dining room
so I get to keep those.  :)

I planned to offer all 29 kits on E-Bay, but thought I would publish the
details here first and see what kind of reception they received.  19 of the
kits were sourced through Grand Prix Models in England.  They are 1/43 scale
and are either resin or metal.  Most (if not all) include photo-etched
detail to complement the highly detailed bodies and interiors.  Only one of
these models has actually been started.  It's the 1977 Alfetta GTV that I
painted yellow with black interior to match a club member's car here in
Brisbane.  The remainder are all pristine and waiting for a loving hand.

The other 10 kits are plastic (with 1 metal Burago among them) and only one
of these has been started - the 6C-1750 Zagato.  I have assembled the engine
in this kit but nothing else.  Unique in the plastic kits are the motorised
Japanese/Taiwanese productions immortalising Alfa Romeos (the Carabo and
BT46).

In every case I believe the kits are intrinsically "valuable" as they are no
longer produced.  I collected them many years ago, but my eyesight isn't
really up to doing them justice now, so hopefully someone out there can
appreciate their true beauty.

Rather than just launch them on E-Bay, I thought I would offer them here
first to the die-hard Alfisti.  Obviously Australian buyers are easier for
me to send them to, but international interest is certainly welcome.  Cost
of shipping is the buyers concern.  I haven't placed prices against any of
the models.  If somebody chooses to make what I think is a fair offer it's
his or hers.  Otherwise I'll sell through E-Bay to the highest bidder.  The
1/43 scale came to me when the exchange rate to England was much better.  I
think I paid mostly GBP30 and above for the kits which makes them worth
easily A$100 today.  The fact that they can no longer be purchased should
certainly increase that figure.
