Definitely get thee to an Alfa Pro. I just had this happen to me this afternoon... Mostly my fault. I took my newly acquired 75 Spider in for smog check instead of stopping by for a friendly pre-check at the alfa shop. Of course it failed. I had given it the visual once over before taking it in but the PHFO had stuffed a golf tee in a vacuum line and stuffed the line into a vacant hole (left by a bit of missing smog eqpt at the end of the air cleaner)... and it failed on two other accounts. My local Alfa shop (Barber's Shop in Sacramento) was VERY nice and immediately took it in and rectified the problems and within an hour I was back at the test-only station where it passed with flying colors. I spend a lot of money there so I likely get some preferential treatment but it sure is nice to be on a first name basis with your mechanic. Not being familiar with this era SPICA cars I would never have known what piece was missing on my own. Poorer but wiser (I seem to be signing off emails a lot this way recently),
