appropriate steering wheels

I would be interested in the personal opinions of those on the digest as
to appropriate alternative  steering wheels for 115 series cars. 
Understand,  I do  really appreciate the look of the standard wood wheel,
but I'm rather more fond of the earlier style wheels on various other
models.  Your comments on the aesthetics, practicalities, ease of
installation, etc. would be welcome.  Aftermarket wheels are fair game
also.  I rarely use my '74 GTV for anything other than pleasure driving
and short  trips--not that it might not see an occasional sporting tour,
autocross, etc..  Incidentally, I have yet to use on any car other than a
go-cart, one of the small, thick-rimmed  P*p B**s specials that seemed
