Sounds about right Steve. They're BIG straight six Cast Iron blocks
with massive long throw (long stroke doncha know) 7-main bearing cranks.
I'll ask my father next time I see him. He has two of the bloody
things. We were out driving in his 420 sedan the other day and he was
making the thing pull from 1000 RPM in 4th gear and bragging about how
it would do that.
"Hell, it BETTER", I said. "The damn thing has a 4.2 liter engine in
it". "That's pretty big for a 6-cylinder engine, and the stroke is
what, 14 inches?"
I like to give him a hard time about his English car fetish.
