Colli

Hi Alfisti,

I must have missed Anthony Colli's question about the Carrozzeria Colli
cars. Most of John Hertzman's postings I don't mis for they are so
instructive.

First of all, I didn't know anything about Colli till about 6 months ago
when I saw one in Brussels. It was a Mille Miglia racer build in 1953 on
Fiat basis. Beautiful, raw, racer.
A few weeks later a friend of mine presented me a book 'La Sport e i suoi
artigiani' by Andrea Curami and Piero Vergnano. This is a g-r-e-a-t book on
the Italian (small) coach- and car-builders in the years 1937 - 1965. It is
a pity that it is in Italian but with a dictionary near by I manage to learn
a lot out of it. Also hundreds of pictures make it worth to buy this book.

In this book there also are 4 pages on Carrozzerria Colli from Milano.
In short I can tell you that they were founded in 1932 and closed their
doors in 1972, of courese they worked on Fiat and Alfa chassis'.

So if someone is interested in these pages, please mail me and it will be a
pleasure for me to scan these pages for you and send them per e-mail.

For I don't have the e-mail address of Anthony Colli, please pass this
message to him.

Ciao,

Jack Koobs de Hartog
