Nash,
Braden's "Bible" says to put the clamp on the forward portion of the shaft,
anyplace just so it does not interfere with other parts. Place clamp, mark
the position of the screw portion as the starting reference point, start
car, stop car, adjust clamp 180 degrees, start car, if vibration is more,
rotate back toward the reference point and vice versa, can also double clamp
to add weight at the min vibration point to fine tune.
Note, vibration may also be caused by bad donuts/guibos, intermediate
bearing, or even transaxle mounts.
