some one mentioned getting a new (rebuilt) engine as a
solution to a potentially leaking cam seal. that
sounds a bit extreme. cams seals can be replaced with
out diving into the engine at all (beyond removing the
t-belt). if it is cam seals, i'd suggest a wet-dry
compression check, and based on those numbers deciding
how to proceed. if the comp check reveals some other
problems, then think about rebuild possibilities, etc.
if it looks good, just do the seals (and reset valve
clearance if needed since you'll have the cam pulleys
off anyway). oh, and replace the t-belt and
detensioner:)
