164 engine misses at idle!

My 1995 164 Super just started with this engine stumble at idle. It seems it
only does it when the engine is at idle, whether cold or at normal
temperature. The stumble or miss (feels like one cylinder misfires) is more
noticeable at operating temperatures and it happens every 5 - 6 seconds.
When accelerating or at cruising speed, there is no stumble at all! Any
ideas? The local dealer thinks it's a faulty electrical connection somewhere
 I've checked all the visible ones, cleaned and reinstalled, but the problem
persists.
