SF Bay Area crappy Berlina interest?
A Berlina owner contacted me about a couple decrepit Berlinas he needs to
clean out of his yard in the North Bay. Both are US 2000s, one a LeMans blue
very rusty 74 with carbs, rubber bumpers, no pedal assembly, and no
drivetrain, not driven in over 10 years. The other is a semi-rusty silver
73 2000 with a smashed RF fender and suspension, plywood back seat area,
1750 nose grafted on at some point, and pop-up plexiglass 70s style
"Pinto-esque" sunroof. This one was on the road til an accident about a
year ago, and is basically complete, but has dented bumpers, missing grille
and headlight, etc.
Anyone interested in either of these gems, from my glowing description?
Both have been sitting outside for years. The owner also has some misc.
Berlina parts to clean out, which I plan to buy, but the cars I don't want.
They're pretty lost causes, I think, and I'm not sure they have enough
worthwhile stuff on them for even a junkyard to take them. But let me know
if you're interested.
