67 GTV oil temp guage

       Test the gauge by disconnecting the wire at the sending unit and 
grounding it.  If the gauge is working, the needle will move to the high end 
of the dial.  That would mean the sending unit is bad.
       If it does nothing, the gauge might still be OK, but with the wire to 
the sending unit broken.  You could run a jumper wire from the back of the 
gauge to a ground to see if it works.  Or the problem could be a lack of 12 
volts to the gauge.
       I am not sure about an oil temp gauge, but the above works for testing 
the oil pressure and water temp gauges.
