Don't sell it - you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Wait some time 
and save up for a downpayment for the new car you sound like you were going 
to buy anyway. The little bit of money you would make i=on it's sale won't 
be enough for the down anyway. Keep the car and work on it on weekends or as 
you get the time. Drive it on weekends to keep it lubed. Keep it in good 
repair and then will it to your kids when you meet your final demise. They 
are an endangered species and we should be encouraging each other not to 
break them up.
