Re: Storage options

For what it is worth, here in small-town Tennessee where I live, and where things are a whole lot more tolerant and much less stuffy, I have had great success with those 10x20 "King Canopy" shelters. These "temporary" carport/farm storage/outdoor shelters come with galvanized frames (six legs) and a pitched roof made of heavy duty silver tarp and sell from $140-180. But then I live in the country, and have some land around the house so they are not an obvious eyesore to those who would take offense. Mine are set back in the woods and keep rain and tree crap off the beater berlina and another alfa waiting for rebirth, so the vehicles stay dry and well ventilated (unlike a car cover).

Subject: Storage options

Ok, it's time for me to move into a house (SHE WHO MUST BE PLEASED HAS
SPOKEN, AND I SHALL OBEY). The problem is finding a house in our budget
with even a single car garage to protect my 71 spider means a 1.5 to 2
hour commute (I live in Northern Virginia USA, near Wash DC, and yes, it
is that crazy). Does anyone know of some clever options to keep the car
out of the weather without requiring a garage? I did the car cover thing
for awhile, but it got a lot of weathering even with that.
