RE: DOUBLE CLTCH H!RE: Jon Dohrman
You forget, FRED, that you don't know anything about me. You read my
description of the mechanical aspects of double clutching and all you can do
is repeat yourself YOUR WAY. Gosh, now I'm convinced. Is this what you
mean when you tell other listers to think?
Among other things, I have driven 10 and 12 speed moving vans that didn't
want to shift up or down. Great fun in town. Used to make my helper crazy
when I'd double clutch up thru 6 gears and back down thru 6 gears in each
block of a residential neighborhood with stop signs on every corner--and
without exceeding 25 mph. Talk about sequential downshifting. Best regards
and keep 'em running.
John

Did you ever drive a car with spur gwars? It was a MUST to double clutch.
But if you enjoy the extra work, be my guest. My car s will last much longer
MY WAY! Best regards, FRED
