164 Header pipes

Hey folks,
Have a 91 164 base with what I believe is a hole in one of the exhaust flex
pipes.  Before I replace the stock one with a similar unit, any ideas on
repair or replacement.  Anyone install a Stebro unit?  If so, what is
involved with the replacement and is it from the cylinder head or from the
down pipes to the cat.  Thanks.  Also looking for tire recommendations but
hate to open that can of worms!
