wouldn't really agree with that; the 605 is closer in size to the 164, but
the smaller and prettier 405 is the closer visually, (and spiritually)...
the glasshouse in particular is a dead ringer. the 405 is arguably one of
the best proportioned saloons ever put into production; if you get a chance
to look over a well preserved one it's well worth the effort. they were also
fantastic to drive; i spent many hours in one dreaming of a 164, but i've no
doubt the little pug would leave the alfa for dead on the fast bumpy a-roads
i used to frequent at the time.
